In ISSB Lecturette Topics Task you and your group are taken to a lecture room where each of the candidates is given a chance to deliver a short lecture. Every candidate is given the chance to be in front and do the task. If you will refuse to deliver than it will give you negative ranking.
Language:
ISSB Lecturette Topics can be delivered in any language. If you are comfortable with English then go for it otherwise deliver the lecture in Urdu. Remember that you are not assessed by your vocabulary or pronunciation so just go with the flow and delver what you are given.
Time:
Every candidate gets a time of maximum 2 minutes. Before delivering the lecture, the candidate is given 2 minutes to think about it outside the room. This is the time when you have to decide the major points of discussion on the given topic. In these 2 minutes you have to make a rough map of your topic like the introduction, basic details and conclusion.
Types of topic:
ISSB Lecturette Topics Task is not that much difficult. They are general in nature and anyone can speak on it. It resembles almost to the ISSB Group Discussion the only difference is this time you are the only one to speak and others will be listening you. The topic given to you by the GTO will be in Urdu and then the decision will be all yours how you are going to deliver it.
There are some cases in which the candidates refused to complete ISSB Lecturette Topics Task because they became so much nervous that they were not able to face the group. Never do this. People sitting in front of you are all like you and they will deliver the lecture too. It does not matters that the topic delivered is right or not so don’t worry about anything.
Purpose of ISSB Lectorate Topics:
The main purpose of ISSB Lecturette Topics are not to judge your vocabulary or pronunciation, instead your confidence to face the audience and your communication skills are focused. After all they are going to select an officer and an officer must be capable of making people understand anything with full confidence.
